Our community outreach programs in South Carolina involve collaborating with state, regional and county boards and agencies in various conservation and low impact development initiatives. A few of these initiatives include the following:
- Sponsored Green Tools for Your Bottom Line conference. Conference goals were to inform and demonstrate to the conference attendees creative techniques and solutions that minimize impact of the development on the natural environment.
- Work with Horry County Rivers & Wetlands Protection Initiative to support and foster policy that encourages natural resource conservation in Horry County.
- Partner with the Low Impact Development Committee for the Midlands of South Carolina to develop educational programs and mechanisms to inform and educate private and public sectors of LID practices.
- Serve on Lexington County Stakeholders Committee to formulate and develop a new land development code and stormwater management design guidelines.
- Work with Lexington County Stormwater Consortium in educating and promoting natural stormwater management practices.
